Leave API base URL empty so the browser calls /v1 on this same site; the deployed server forwards to https://api.kairn.sh (no CORS, streaming works). On your machine run npm start (not plain static serve). Only fill in a full API URL if you call Kairn directly and that host allows this origin. Demo only — do not ship keys in production frontends.
